Sustainable Forest Garden Farm Project

How to visit

We love people to come and visit us and there are several ways of doing this.
Volunteers: We accept helpers who apply, either from  the WWOOF Association or www.helpx.net of which we are members.
It is also possible to apply directly to us through the contact form on this site. Please state what your interest is and what skills you have, plus the dates you would like to come.
Visitors: At certain times of the year we are able to receive visitors who are interested in our work and want to have a look at the farm. This is usually between March and July but please contact us if you want to come at other times.

We have space for people wishing to camp and we also offer the possibility to eat vegetarian meals with us. Contact us for details of this option.

We are always looking for new varieties of useful/edible plants and trees, if you have seeds or plants to spare that would fit into a forest garden system we would be delighted to receive them.
Donations of money to enable us to buy more trees or other plants are, also, always welcome, we will keep a photographic record of all such trees and post them on the site.

Help needed in November

We want to move a bit faster forwards with our project and are looking for volunteers during November.
The work will be in the new forest garden where we will be transplanting the understorey shrubs and fruit bush cuttings that were taken last year. This will involve digging and preparing the planting holes, composting, and then muching around them when planted. There is tree planting to do as well and a lot of preparation work for the planting of other plants.
We also have work pruning trees, wood collecting, making steps, vine pruning and fencing, building a new goat shed and pen plus whatever general farm work that needs doing at the time.
We are keen to have people with an interest in forest gardening and who want to learn about this system of sustainable polycultures.
